Of the SD80MACs that Conrail divided up between NS and CSX, only CSX's ever showed up in Florida and that's when they weren't stored. NS 80MACs all seemed to stay near the coalfields of Pennsylvania, at least until the coal business nosedived. What is bad for NS turns out to be good for MAC fans as they are roaming the system more. 7214 finally got to Jacksonville on June 28; the first and only NS 80MAC I have seen here. It's getting ready to leave town on Train 210, here at Birdville. |
